Berkeley is a business professional and serial entrepreneur who has created, grown, and sold multiple medical practices, with specific expertise in startups and optimizing existing medical practice performance.
Prior to starting Practice Now Berkeley managed a career in serial business entrepreneurship where he started over forty-five for-profit and eight non-for-profit corporations. These recently include cofounder of Valley Perinatal Services, LLC (largest perinatal private practice, Phoenix, AZ), Protocol Now, Inc. (a SAAS medical tech company), Whizbang Labs, Inc. / Flipdog.com (machine learning and artificial intelligence industry leader), among several others.
As part of this experience, Berkeley has participated at the highest levels in raising millions of dollars as part of seed-round-funding, mezzanine round, and full-series venture funding. Berkeley has also participated in several sale-side processes led by tier 1, tier 2 investment banks as well as private equity investment initiatives. Berkeley currently serves on several corporate boards where he focuses on CEO coaching and skill enhancement.
In the medical industry, Berkeley has developed several unique concepts that have greatly benefited medical organizations; these concepts include 90-day MBE, Total Cost of Medical Billing (TCMB), physician barometer, and seven foundational pillars of physician success, to name a few.
Berkeley has his Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Computer Science from Brigham Young University.
Mark has spent several decades serving as legal counsel for companies in a wide variety of both startup and mature business environments, including the complex world of outpatient medical practices. He has specific expertise in legal strategies for implementing rapid growth models, risk management and mitigation, as well as due diligence analysis and triage for merger and acquisition activities.
Mark has his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Digital Design from Brigham Young University. His Master of Business Administration was awarded by California State University, and he has a Juris Doctorate Degree from J. Reuben Clark Law School.
Eric is a seasoned executive in healthcare analytics and transformation. Eric has extensive experience as a startup investor, advisor, and board member for multiple companies. He has expertise in tactical and strategic deployment to enhance operational results for organizations large and small, for profit and not-for-profit, global and local.
Prior to joining Practice Now, Eric was Senior Vice-President of Professional Services for Health Catalyst. He worked closely with Dr. Brent James to develop various educational offerings in analytics and transformation. Eric has been a chief information officer five times, a chief operating officer, and chief executive officer. He is an advisor and board member for a variety of organizations. He is also a certified StrategyzerTM Coach, and a certified Crucial Conversations™ instructor.
Eric has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University, a Masters in Information Systems from Brigham Young University, and a PhD, Information Systems from Michigan State University.
Dr. John Elliott is an internationally recognized authority in Maternal-Fetal Medicine who has distinguished himself both as a practicing physician and educator. After completing medical school in 1972, he completed his residency in OB/GYN at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver, CO. Dr. Elliott went on to complete his fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of California where he then became board certified in OB/GYN and MFM.
As a renowned MFM specialist, Dr. Elliott has published professional articles that are recognized as groundbreaking and essential to Maternal-Fetal Medicine and the care of high-risk OB patients. He teaches at national and international meetings, conferences, and local symposiums.
Dr. Elliott has a unique and unparalleled ability to care for high-order multiple gestations. He has proven success in being able to consistently achieve highest gestational age for high-order multiple deliveries. While serving on numerous professional boards, Dr. Elliott has received many awards and grants for his outstanding work and service to the medical community. For 15 years, he was listed in Woodward and White’s Best Doctor’s in America while achieving a 12-year running of America’s Top Doctors. In 1996, Dr. Elliott received the Phoenix “Top Doc” award and has been listed as one of 81 (1%) top perinatologists by US News and World Report.

Rachel brings broad experience, specializing in financial transactions in accounting including AR/AP with an emphasis on streamlining operations. Rachel’s expertise in organizational functions brings a unique perspective to tactical and strategic decision making.
Rachel earned her Associate degree from Mesa Community College, and has also attended multiple semesters at Arizona State University, Granthan University, Macon State College, as well as the Community College of the Air Force.
Kevin has provided financial reporting and analytical expertise to companies large and small. As an experienced auditor for a prominent national CPA firm, Kevin developed advanced models for financial reporting and controls. He has enhanced financial growth by using critical data analysis and attention to detail.
Kevin has his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University. Sylvia is a multi-disciplinary, revenue cycle management expert with a focus on enhanced revenue generation and collections. Sylvia has extensive experience in the health care setting for large scale hospital systems as well as private practice.
Sylvia has coding credentials held with AAPC CPC since 2012, and AHIMA CCS-P (2000-2010) and ICD 10 Trainer (2009).

His extensive experience spans various industries, including healthcare, investment real estate, and nuclear energy, providing him with a multifaceted perspective crucial to his current role. Joe’s proficiency in data analysis, BI tools, and process improvement has been pivotal in driving organizational growth and efficiency.
Joe’s foundational professional experience was developed at a major nuclear energy company, where he served in leadership and project management roles, gaining critical insights into project coordination, safety standards, and regulatory compliance. Melissa comes with much experience in fields of client care and satisfaction from client relations, department structure, product management, digital design, and marketing management. Melissa has assisted multiple medical practices build and streamline scheduling policies and procedures from front desk scheduling to call center processes.
Melissa has her Associate degree from Chandler Gilbert Community College and has attended multiple courses at Utah Valley University.
